Still Life Drawing and Painting

On September 7th, I will be starting to teach still life drawing and painting classes on every Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (painting) and afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (drawing). Beginner to advance students are welcome.

Fee: $300 for 8 sessions / 3 hours per session

In this classes, I will teach students to draw and paint still life objects from abstract to realistic ways . Students will learn to see and identify the shapes, forms, values, lights, colors and design of the objects in a simple abstract way at the beginning of the process, then work their way up in a realistic way. Values and forms are one of the most important keys, and everything else will fallow afterward.

Open:
Monday through Thursday:
2pm-4pm (available for private or group lesson)
4pm-6pm (available for private or group lesson)
7pm-9pm (available for private or group lesson)

Fridays: 4pm-6pm (1 seat available, group lesson)

Saturdays: 10am-12pm (2 seats available, group lesson)
2pm-4pm (2 seats available, group lesson)
4pm-6pm (Private lesson, filled)
7pm-9pm (Private lesson, filled)

Sundays: 10am-12pm (available for private or group lesson)
2pm-4pm (available for private or group lesson)

EACH LESSON IS UP TO 2 HOURS

Lessons & Fees for:

Private Lesson (Only one student in one class)
2 Hour Lesson, $80 (Drawing)
1 Hour Lesson, $50 (Drawing)

2 Hour Lesson, $100 (Painting)
1 Hour Lesson, $60 (Painting)

Group Lesson of Drawing Class (up to 7 students in one class)
$120 / month of 4 lessons (8 hrs)

Group Lesson of Painting Class (up to 7 students in one class)
$140 / month of 4 lessons

Payment Requirement:

Option A
Monthly Payment is due on the first week of each month. Students are required to pay at least 4 weeks upfront fee in order to reserve the seat for classes. (Only ONE missing class can be made up or credited back per month with at least 24 hrs notice of absent)

Option B
Weekly Payment (pay per lesson) the fee will be higher.
Each 2 hour Drawing lesson: $40
Each 2 hour Painting lesson: $50
The seat may not be available or reserved, therefore in this case student will be required to call the teacher one day ahead of time to make sure that the seat will be available.

FREE Lessons By Referring a New Student:

Student who refers a new student will receive a FREE lesson if the new student attends more than one month.

During Weekdays,
we also offer to teach group art lessons at other location such as After school Program Centers,
Learning Centers, Daycare Centers, and etc..

My wife & I offer to teach art lessons to students from age 3 to adult. Each lesson is 2 hours. We teach Drawing and Painting at different levels. Students will learn and build their foundation skills of art by understanding about shapes and tones, lights & shadows, soft & hard edges, color theory, rendering, techniques, and etc. Students will draw and paint from their imagination, photographs, and still life.

I am a member of California Art Club, American Impressionist Society, Portrait Society of America, and my wife and I are members of San Gabriel Fine Art Association. I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1990, and my wife has had 6 years of drawing and painting experience. I've been a professional 2D / 3D CG Artist in the video game and entertainment industry for over 18 years, working at PDI, SEGA of America, & Electronic Arts. I also am a Fine Art Painter and Professional Portrait Artist.

Our art studio is a family art studio located in the city of Alhambra at our resident home. We also offer to teach at your location and school.
